HOW WE FORMED

The Alliance Party itself grew out of America's growing dissatisfaction with a failing, polarizing two-party system and recognizing there is strength in numbers and a deep desire to put people and country over politics and greed, twelve independent political parties merged under one banner.

2008 - 2016

Six independent parties merged into the Modern Whig Party, laying the groundwork for what would become the Alliance Party. These were the USA Party (2008), Veterans Party (2008), American Centrist Party (2010), Center Party (2010), National Centrist Party (2011) and the American Moderate Party of California (2016)

Early Foundations

2018

October 14

American Moderates Party, the Modern Whig Party and the American Party of South Carolina merged to create the Alliance Party.

The Beginning

2019

January 4

The Alliance Party officially registered with the Federal Elections Commission.

Later in 2019

Independence Party of Minnesota and American Alliance Party merged into Alliance Party.

Official Recognition

2020

October 14

Four more parties joined the Alliance:
  • American Delta Party
  • Reform Party of Florida
  • Independence Party of New York
  • Independent Party of Connecticut
